Codswallop CIC launched on the 1st April 2017 after three years of operating under the name of JP Productions, which first opened its doors on the 30th October 2013 to The Oddballs School of Theatrical Extravaganzas (now Oddballs Theatre Makers). Within a year, Oddballs had expanded in to 2 groups, The Not Grown Up Club had completed its pilot scheme and Vocal Assembly had exploded on to the scene. Since then, JP Productions invested in Guiseley and Aireborough, making itself known and building a community of passionate singers, theatre makers and artists. We now have drama groups spanning from age 5-60+, a touring and award winning theatre company 'Spotty Socks,' a childrens choir, all-age all-ability choir, a childrens orchestra and a programme of several one off events and festivals!

Codswallop CIC will allow us to create bigger and better events than ever before, nurture local talent and inspire the next generation of creative thinkers- all whilst accessing more funding and being recognised as a community minded organisation. This is a huge step in the direction of fulfilling our huge creative ambitions for Aireborough and cementing our position as a community hub in Guiseley.

Each member of the Codswallop Team are trained professionals, passionate for their art, teaching and community, meaning every session and project is delivered to a high quality standard ensuring participants get the most out of the over all experience. Each session has a basic team comprised of a Session Leader, who runs and plans the session and a Support Worker, who deals with admin, one to one support and pastoral care. In addition to this, some groups have a volunteer or two, who is there to gain experience and get involved and/or additional Support Workers in the form of Accompanists, Youth Workers and Tea Makers!

Not only do we believe in investing in the arts, but also investing in the participants, giving a sense of belonging, a chance to flourish and a sense of pride.
